The 7th Annual Terryville Polish American Political Club Bob Corbin Memorial Golf Tournament benefiting the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program will be held at Chippanee Country Club, 6 Marsh Road, Bristol, (www.chippanee.com) on Thursday, Sept. 27. Registration will commence at 9:00 AM with a shotgun start to follow at 10 a.m.

The tournament is named in honor of Bob Corbin, a United States Marine Corps veteran who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50. Bob was a long term member of the club and was active in the fundraising efforts for the Toys of Tots program and local Marine Corps activities.

All proceeds from the golf tournament will be donated to the local United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program run by Charlie Company 1st Battalion 25th Marine Regiment Reserve Unit in Plainville, CT. 100% of the donations are used to buy toys to be distributed to local children during the Christmas holiday. The tournament features a four man scramble format. The entry fee per golfer is $125 and includes greens fees, golf cart, practice range, lunch, and an awards banquet and raffle following the tournament. Prizes will be awarded for best team score, dirty ball, longest drive, closest to the line, and a hole in one on selected par three holes wins a 2012 Toyota sponsored by Stephen Auto Mall Centre, Bristol, CT (www.ctautomall.com) or a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle sponsored by Yankee Harley Davidson, Bristol (www.yankeeharley.com).

Hole Sponsorships are available for $100, and include an 18" x 24" sign with company and/or individual name displayed adjacent to the green on randomly selected holes. Silver Sponsorships are available for $400 and include a sign and one (1) golfer, Gold Sponsorships are available for $800 and include a sign and two (2) golfers, and Platinum Sponsorships are available for $1000 and include a sign and four (4) golfers. Donations of cash or prizes for the raffle are also needed.
